The world of insulation is confusing because it is 'ever changing' to be safer and provide more resilience throughout the life of your home. There are spray in products (foam), board products, blue, pink or white products - and now greener products which have nothing to do with the color green at all!
There are also tons of 'R' ratings - R-Value is a measure of insulation's ability to resist heat traveling through it. The higher the R-Value the better the performance of the product. AND most important is > what is good for the 'Goose in Michigan' is not also good for the "Gander in Louisiana"!
